Both of you can do your morning routine of washing your face or brushing your teeth without sharing the same sink.

Fundamentally, the most important factor you should plan for is that both people can stand side by side while still having a decent amount of counter space and mirror access. In some cases, the best solution is to have one sink in the middle with a larger full-width mirror. The sink is installed in the center with a set of drawers on each side for storage.
